Animated paid-ads for social media with A/B versions
The wonderful people at Silverback Strategies approached me to create these ads for their client, Meadows Farms. It was a quick turnaround project. They had already created the storyboards in Photoshop and sent them over to me, along with the stock footage and music. I brought it all into After Effects, having to recreate some elements directly within AE as shape layers, in order to make them animatable at high resolution, such as the wavy background.
It was up to me to decide how to animate the text and transitions. The A/B versions were not direct translations, so some footage and text formatting had to be moved around. But once I had templates for all the versions, it was quick and painless to create 16 final deliverable mp4s. Some were for YouTube, some were for Instagram, so there was different sizing, as well: horizontal, square, and vertical.
The “Spring” themed video here was the first, but they also wanted videos for each season. Unfortunately I was not available when they came back with those, so I pinged a freelancer friend who was luckily available to take those on. I’m always good for passing off work I can’t take to other local talent!
